The Citizen's Coalition is, above all, an educationally oriented
Coalition designed to assist people: citizens, business owners,
everyone living, working or operating a business in the region
and/or those interested in relocating to the Quartzsite region.
Under the direction of no one individual or organization, the
Citizen's Coalition strives to make a way for newer citizens of the
region to enhance their lives by participating in the electoral
process and then continuing to stay involved in the oversight of the
community via the Citizen's Coalition.
As computers assist so greatly in community involvement, the
Citizen's Coalition assists people in learning how to utilize their
computers -- and the Internet -- to enhance their lives and
strengthen their voices. The Coalition even offers free Internet and
computer classes to the public.
It has already been instrumental in working to resolve some
longstanding and problematic issues within the community: zoning
problems, noise issues, animal welfare matters are all issues
currently being addressed.
Geared for Success
Coalitions routinely work to accommodate the needs of their
members.
The Quartzsite area is a wonderful place to live and work. The lives
of the residents here are interwoven: since the population is older,
most are from other places and depend upon each other to gather
information and work toward creating a 'home away from home' for
themselves.
Our business owners and vendors are the primary reason this same
region has enjoyed the popularity it has, entertaining people from
around the world and promoting Quartzsite and the surrounding areas
in the process.
We strive to make certain this area continues to thrive, even in the
face of adversity so prominent in today's world throughout our
nation.
Therefore, the primary focus of the Coalition is to foster,
facilitate and ensure open lines of communication between the
citizenry, the tourism industry which reaches literally millions of
readers throughout the world and brings tourists and seasonal
visitors consistently to this region, the business community -- both
those here year round and those here seasonally -- and the current
governmental structures and entities, those people who are entrusted
with the responsibility of providing governmental services as well
as facilitating proper and effective maintenance of our existing
infrastructure as well as properly accommodating future growth.

designed to accommodate growth, camaraderie and genuinely
strives to foster an atmosphere of mutual concern and respect.
